PSALM 22. I AM POURED OUT LIKE WATER

My Life is an offering to God. I give of those things which are close to my heart, because he first poured ot himself, giving himself for me.

I pray, "God give me strength," and he gives me oppertunities to exercise my weakness. I pray "God give me patience," and he sends me a situation that try it. I pray "God, help me to be loving," and he sends me one who is hard to love. For the gifts of the Sprit must be trained, as the mind must be educated. Strength is an act of will, as we love, patience, charity, and the rest.

When I come to the end of my own strength, patience, and love, I have come also to the end of my own will, and there in the empty place God iswaiting for me. "You have given your own strength," he says, "but now you shall give mine. You have loved with your own heart; love now with mine."

Until I am emptied of myself, of my own will, God cannot fill me; for he can give only to those who have made room for him in their souls.

My will is not my own
Till thou hast made it thine;
If I would reach a monarch's throne
I must my crown resign

Principals For Possessing Your Promise

1.       Leave and Cleave.           Leave your past behind you and cleave to tomorrow and what is promised you.

2.       Change your Focus.        Stop looking at your circumstances in you and lift up your eyes.  Change your perspective and your attitude.

3.       Vision: See It and Receive It.      You will die without vision. Be sensitive to the glimpse God gives you the future. He wants you to possess.

4.       Understand the Purpose for the Storm.                When God gives you a revelation, the enemy will send a storm (distraction) to take away the Word. God will use the storm to build your patience so you can inherit the promise.

5.       Endurance It Takes Commitment.            Make the decision to be consistent in your faith so that God will deliver His promise to you. You are on only rewarded for that which you endure in life.

6.       Learn to Operate in God’s System.          There are two systems in operation-the world’s system and God’s system. If you operate in God’s system, your needs will be met. To do that, you must seek first the Kingdom of god, understand what the Kingdom is, and operate in that Kingdom.

7.       Seedtime and Harvest.                 You have a seed to plant and the authority to plant it, but remember; “The seed you plant today is what you will reap tomorrow”. So, Don’t wait until you’re sick or broke to plant seeds!

You may say to yourself, “my power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me”. But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.  Deuteronomy 8-17-18  And “Ira” shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his due season; “Ira’s” leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:3 AMEN

The Lure of Money "The Earthly Way"

Lure: Something that tempts or attracts, especially one with a promise of reward or pleasure;

People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

Frequently we worry about money. We are in awe of it. It is the world’s measuring stick of accomplishments. The world tells us that we will succeed and gain respect if we earn enough money. The world’s life is determined by money, money status, money power, money obtained from work, money needed, the fear of not having enough money in the future and the fear of losing the money presently in hand.

We think about money more than we think about God. We can end up worshiping money and have no time to worship God. Money can displace God from our lives. It becomes our god. I’ve seen myself, and many other people who are very interested in the Lord, do it. When we are focus on money, we think about it in such a way that we worry and are not at peace.

The deceitfulness of riches is the money promises everything; it appears to give some things, but in reality it gives nothing. In the end, money lets us down. When we worry that we won’t have enough money to meet our needs, we’re not trusting the Lord to provide. Were forgetting His eternal perspective. We’re allowing our fear of running out can be worse than actually running out.

That worry is more harmful for us than any decreased financial status. It ages us, it changes our judgment, it consumes and controls our lives; it takes us away from God. “The love of Money” puts us in bondage. How can we worship God on Sunday and cheat on our taxes-or anything else-throughout the week? The mind games we play show that we are devious and not devoted to God. We are being untrue. Money is NOT worth cheating. We fool ourselves if we think finances are of such great importance. There has to be a balance!!

Our true worth is not measured by having money in the bank; or by having cars and houses. Our true worth was measured on the cross and is reflected by our response in faith and thanksgiving to Jesus’ death and resurrection. The cash we live by is the presence of Jesus in our lives.

Counting the cost

Here’s a favorite exercise of mine. If I start getting too worried or anxious about a situation, I like to take a step back from it. Maybe I even step up to a mirror, look at myself in the face, and ask, “Is this worth the worry?” Jesus poses the same questions:

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. ~Luke 12:6-7s

God loves us and treasures us as His children. He has everything under his control for all eternity. All we need to do is remember to look to Him and let Him provide. Praise be to God for his infinite wisdom and mercy!  Amen James Gillis, M.D.

Courageous Faith

Courageous Faith

Being reckless causes worry. Reckless investors worry. Reckless fantasies and reckless sexuality cause worry.

Therefore it’s vital to be careful. Actually, being a Christian is the most conservative and safe lifestyle we can live.  If we love God and don’t worry, we adopt the safest form of life possible.

Conversely, one must be a little reckless in order to do well. When instructors teach skiing, they say “You have to be a little of a fool to be a good skier.” When the instructor says to be a little foolish, he’s not telling us to go and break a leg (as I’ve done). He’s telling us to relax and not worry too much. Otherwise we can’t get the truly great feeling of skiing.

In other words, we can’t be overly anxious. We have to free ourselves from worried and every little concern. We have to be a little bit of a fool. A person who is free of the obsessions of worry is able to do a good job-and enjoys ever area of life.

When we’re totally relaxed in skiing, we can do something called “anticipation,” which is just dropping down on the lower ski and letting the rebound phenomenon carry us around into a turn. It is almost effortless to do mid-turns as we get the motions down. The more we relax, the more effortless skiing becomes.

This is true in daily life as well. Worry keeps us from being courageous in our families and friendships and in our service to God. If we will just relax and come back to the basics of a simpler life, the normal routine will take care of us. In the spiritual life, if we go back to the basics of faith and trust, life becomes easy as skiing becomes easy.

We learn to drop down in anticipation in a ski maneuver that makes skiing effortless. In life, we drop down on our knees in prayers and commit our lives to Christ, turning everything over to Him. Then, when we stand up, the run (either on the ski slope or in life) is smoother. There’s very little effort. No pushing, shoving or twisting. Both allow us to perform our runs in a smoother, easier, more tranquil way, with less energy, less worry, less effort.

When we can do with less, and material things aren’t important to us, we demonstrate our faith in Jahovah-Jireh, the God who provides.

Be Strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.      _Deuteronomy 31:6

The Blessings of Failure Napoleon Hill

Failure sometimes becomes a blessing, when it turns one back from contemplated purposes which would mean embarrassment – or even total destruction had they been carried out.

Failure often opens new doors to opportunity, and provides one with useful knowledge of the realities of life by the trial-and-error method. It also frequently reveals methods and plans which will not work, and cures vain people of their conceit.

The British suffered grave defeat and failure when Lord Cornwallis surrendered to the Americans, giving the colonies their freedom. But without such freedom, America wouldn’t have had the strength to help save the British Empire from destruction in World Wars I and II.

The War Between the States impoverished the Southern States for several decades. But the law of compensation is now balancing the budget on his old score by moving Northern Industry to the South so rapidly that the people are receiving compound interest on the war’s toll of pride and possessions.

Somehow the law of compensation has a very long arm and a very sound memory, plus a wonderful bookkeeping system, and sooner or later all debts must be paid and all wrongs must be righted, among whole communities as well as among individuals.

I felt that I suffered and irreparable loss when my name did not appear in the will of a wealthy great-uncle who left his fortune to closer relatives. But that turned out to be one of the many great blessings that came my way through defeat and failure. Not receiving any of that money forced me to work out my own economic destiny, and in doing so I was fortunate enough to have discovered the way to success for other people throughout the world.

The failures of Abraham Lincoln in store-keeping, surveying, soldiering, and the practice of law had only the effect of preparing him to lead our people through their worst crisis in the War Between the States. Lincoln became great because his mental attitude was such that his struggles led him to a source of power we would not have known without his unpleasant experiences.

Milo C. Jones made a bare living from his farm near Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin until he was stricken down by double paralysis and suffered a total loss of the use of his body except the most important part – his brain.

His affliction forced him to the discovery and use of that brain so effectively that it came up with an idea that yielded him over a million dollars from the same farm which had previously made only a modest living. He converted the farm into the raising of corn, fed the corn to hogs, and turned them into “Little Pig” sausage which made a name for itself throughout America.

Failure in physical health sometimes diverts an individual’s attention from his body to his brain, and introduces him to the real “boss” of the physical body, the mind, and opens wide horizons of opportunity he never would have known with the failure.

Failure usually affects people in one or the other of two ways: It serves only as a challenge to greater effort, as in Lincoln’s case, or it subdues and discourages one from making another try.

The majority of people give up hope and quit at the first signs of failure, even before it catches up with them. And a large percentage of people quit when they are overtaken by only one failure, be it ever so trifling.

The potential leader never is subdued by failure, but is inspired to greater effort by it. Watch your reaction to your failures and you will know if you have the potentialities for leadership.

If you can keep on trying after three failures in a given undertaking, you may consider yourself a “suspect” as a leader in your present occupation. If you can keep on trying after a dozen failures, the seed of genius is sprouting within you. Give it the sunshine of Hope and Faith and watch it grow into great personal achievements.

It appears that Nature often knocks individuals down with adversity in order to learn who among them will get up and make another fight.

The world generously forgives one for his mistakes and temporary defeats provided that he accepts them as a challenge and keeps on trying, but there is no forgiveness for the sin of quitting when the going is hard.

The individual who wants to reach the top in business must appreciate the might of the force of habit and must understand that practices are what create habits. He must be quick to break those habits that can break him and hasten to adopt those practices that will become the habits that help him achieve the success he desires.
"
To succeed in business, to reach the top, an individual must know all it is possible to know about that business.

Lets learn about Assets and Liabilities

Good evening my family and friends.

I know it's the wonderful day after Thanksgiving and everyone is looking to get that "Great Deal" out there. Those already marked up prices that have miraculously decreased in price for one day. WOW. That's wonderful as long as you're investing into yourself. Do you feel that you should be able to purchase something that you can make (positive cash flow) residual income from? Well these items are what we call Assets.

Assets: Something (income generating) that puts money back into my pocket.

Liabilities: Something that takes money out of my pocket. A purchased item that depreciates, staring back at you while YOU get NO RETURN from it. Some of them can be very pretty (enticing) and fulfill a temporary self-satisfaction.

Question: What is wealth: That's a person's ability to survive so many numbers of days forward… or if you stopped working today, how long would you survive?

Working harder (on a job) will only fulfill someone else's dreams, what about your dream who will fulfill those. Trust your inner wisdom, look into the mirror and ask yourself "does this make sense?" You have a genius inside you, not because everyone else is doing it and following the crowd makes it right. Invest into yourself.

More money doesn't solve money problems it takes Intelligence to solve problems. If your dug yourself into a hole.. Then stop digging.

Remember these Simple Observations: The Rich buy assets. The Poor only have expenses. The Middle Class buys liabilities thinking there are assets.

Children to Success

There is a great deal of talk these days about juvenile delinquency and the problems of youth.

I'd like to tell the story about one juvenile delinquent and how he was directed into useful pursuits. I was the juvenile delinquent.

My father was a very religious man. There were two of us boys and I was the older, with a mind of my own that defied all of my father's efforts to "reform" me. Our mother had died years before.

I like firearms and had a couple of pistols hidden in hollow trees on our land in the mountains of southwest Virginia. Because of complaints from the neighbors, my father tracked them down and smashed the weapons with a sledge hammer.

I liked mountain music, and had a banjo that I played in secret. But my father's religious learnings were opposed to this, too. He hunted until he found the banjo and destroyed it.

Dancing was forbidden also. But from time to time I managed to "borrow" a horse after Dad was asleep and attend dances in the village.

As a result of all this my visits to the family woodshed were frequent and terrible. But each appointment in this shire of horrors only made me more determined to violate the rules whenever I could. I was well on the way to becoming a complete rebel against all of the regulations of society.

What saved me was my father's decision to marry again. The step-mother he brought to our mountain cabin was a wonderful, kind and understanding woman.

She bought me a new banjo, and even helped me learn to play it. From a mail order house, she purchased two shiny nickel-plated target pistols – one for herself and the other for me. Then we spent many happy hours together as she taught me to plink at harmless targets instead of at the neighbors' chickens and cows.

Having won my confidence and love by helping me to do the things I wanted to do, she set out to direct my energies to better purposes. She obtained a second hand typewriter and began teaching me how to express ideas on paper. Finally, she helped me get a job as mountain reporter for a "string" of small newspapers. Now I can look back and point to that moment as the most decisive in my life. Is it any wonder that I am grateful to this great lady?

Because of this experience, I'm inclined to take the side of the juvenile delinquents whenever I hear of this problem. Not all delinquency stems from the same causes, of course. But in many cases, I suspect they result from excessively-harsh rules which are too strictly enforced. And I fear, too, that many parents fail to realize that the boundless energy which leads youth into trouble can be easily directed to lead them toward tremendous success. The person who is listless and lazy, lacking the spirit of adventure, is not the one who will achieve great things. Almost all men and women who attain high places in our civilization are "trouble-makers" – free spirits who aren't afraid to defy convention to strike out on new trails, to jar their fellowmen out of their lethargy.

If your child is such a courageous person, be glad.

Help him to learn to channel his forceful character toward success in life. Praise him for his willingness to try anything. Show him how to learn from his mistakes when he takes a wrong course.

Above all, give him your praise rather than your condemnation. For somehow it is human nature for people to live up to the reputation which others give them.

Napoleon Hill

Strength Grows Out of Struggle

Struggle is a clever device through which Nature compels Humanity to develop, expand, and progress.

Struggle is either an ordeal or a magnificent experience, depending on the attitude with which one approaches it. Success is impossible without it.

Life, from birth to death, is literally an unbroken record of ever-increasing, unavoidable struggle. Our education is cumulative—we get it a little at a time from every experience we encounter.

"Do the thing," said Emerson, "and you shall have the power."

"Meet struggle and master it," says Nature, "and you shall have strength and wisdom sufficient for all your needs."

The strongest trees of the forests aren't those most protected but those that must struggle against other trees—and surmount them—for survival.

My grandfather was a wagon maker. In clearing his land for crops, he always left a few oaks standing in the open field where they were exposed to the full heat of the burning sun and the blasts of the wind.

As a result, these trees were far tougher than average. It was the timber from them that he used for wagon wheels, bending them into arc-shaped segments without fear they would break.

Struggle similarly toughens the human spirit for the buffeting of life. Most people go through life following the line of least resistance wherever a choice lies open to them. They fail to recognize that following the line of least resistance is what makes rivers crooked – and sometimes does the same for men.

Once we understand the broad purpose of life we become reconciled to the circumstances which force us to struggle. As a result, we accept struggle for what it is – opportunity.

The necessity for struggle forces us to move when we would otherwise stand still. And it leads us eventually to the full realization that success comes only through struggle.

My first boss after I finished business college was Gen. Rufus A. Ayers, whose law business was so extensive that I often had to help him on nights and holidays.

At the finish of each of these sessions, he always apologized for causing me to work overtime. But he added: "You've been a big help to me—but a bigger help to yourself through the experience you've gained this evening."

And I'll never forget the answer I received when I once asked one of Henry Ford's top aides for his formula for success. "I manage to get in the way of men like Mr. Ford," he said, "and pray that when they want something done they'll call on me."

By running to meet struggle, rather than trying to avoid it, you too can use it to help you learn, grow – and succeed.

Powerful Affirmations

Affirmations are positive sentences that describe a desired situation, and which are repeated many times, in order to impress the subconscious mind and trigger it into positive action. In order to ensure the effectiveness of the affirmations, they have to be repeated with attention, conviction, interest and desire.

Imagine that you are swimming with your friends in a swimming pool. They swim fifteen rounds, something you have never done before. As you desire the respect of your friends, you want to show them that you can make it too. You start swimming, and at the same time keep repeating in your mind: "I can do it, I can do it...". You keep thinking and believing that you are going to complete the fifteen rounds. What are you actually doing? You are repeating positive affirmations.

More than often, people repeat in their minds negative sentences and statements concerning the situations and events in their lives, and consequently bring upon themselves undesirable situations. Such sentences and statements work both ways, to build or destroy. It is the way we use them that determines whether they are going to bring good or harmful results.

Affirmations work in the same manner as creative visualization. The repeated words build mental images and scenes in the mind, and help to focus on the aim, object or situation one wants to achieve or create. Frequent repetitions affect the subconscious mind, which in turn reshapes and affects the way one thinks, acts and behaves.

The conscious mind, the mind you think with, starts this process, and then the subconscious mind takes charge. This means that the most frequent thoughts that pass through your mind, ultimately affect your life and your destiny.

Affirmations work like commands that are given to a computer. They influence us, other people, events and circumstances. It might seem strange to you, but they do also influence the people we meet, our circumstances and the events we encounter.

Sometimes they work fast, but more often they need time. Repeating positive affirmations a few minutes, and then thinking negatively, neutralizes the effects of the positive words. You have to refuse negative thoughts, otherwise you will not attain positive results.

We mentally repeat negative statements, without even being aware of the process. We use them when we tell ourselves that we cannot do something, that we are too lazy, or when we believe we are going to fail. The subconscious mind always accepts and follows what we tell it, whether it is good or bad for us, so why not choose only positive statements?

How to Repeat Affirmations

It is advisable to repeat affirmations that are not too long, as they are easier to remember. You can repeat them anytime your mind is not engaged in something in particular, such as while traveling in a bus or a train, waiting in line, walking etc, but do not affirm while driving or crossing a street. You may also repeat them in special sessions of about ten minutes each, several times a day.

There should be no physical, emotional or mental tension while repeating them. The stronger the concentration, the more faith you have in what you are doing, the more feelings you put into the act, the stronger and faster will be the results.

It is very important to choose only positive affirmations. If for example you desire to lose weight, do not say, "I am not fat, I am losing weight." By saying this sentence you are repeating to your subconscious mind that you are fat. The word "losing" also evokes negative images. It is better to say, "My body has an athletic form, and weighs the right and healthy weight". Such words evoke positive images in the mind.

It is important to affirm in the present tense, not the future tense. Saying: "I will be rich", means that you intend to be rich one day, in the indefinite future. You are actually telling yourself that some day you will be rich, never now. It is better and more effective to say, and also feel, "I am rich now", and the subconscious mind will work overtime to make this happen now, in the present.

As to results, sometimes they may come fast, and at other times might take more time to manifest. Getting results depends on how much time, energy, faith and feelings you invest in repeating your affirmations, on the strength of your desire and on how big or small is your goal.

By using the power of affirmations you state what you want to be true in your life. You see reality, as you want it to be. For a while, you ignore your current circumstances and your doubts, and concentrate on a different reality.
